The Last Exiled
The name of the title comes after my all-time favorite painting "Guernica" by Pablo Picasso. I confess, I'm a sucker for abstracts, but I love seeing the concrete in the abstract. In this case, when I was shooting, I immediately saw the shape of a bull forming in front of my eyes.
The Last Exiled is the translation from the spanish "El Último Exilado", and it refers to Guernica because Picasso had it stored in MOMA in New York and said it could only go back to Spain when the country became a democratic country. And that was exactly what happened.
